Acoustic Design

The acoustic design and R&D can be dramatically improved and the development cycle shortened with computer aided modeling. Waveller is an ideal tool for acoustic simulations from audio acoustics to ultrasound frequencies.

Waveller can be used in planning and virtual prototyping of wide range of audio acoustics designs, e.g. the modeling of concert halls and auditoriums, loudspeakers, mobile phones, auralization applications and acoustic materials, etc. On the other hand, using Waveller noise can be simulated in different applications including car and elevator cabines, airplanes as well as propagation of noise from engines or machines.

The main advantage of Waveller is the possibility of using full-wave frequency domain modeling in large, complex 3D geomeries. In addition, different kinds of audio sources and materials can be included in Waveller models to make virtual prototyping more realistic than ever before.

From the Waveller based acoustic field solutions we can provide you with system frequency response, directivity patterns, etc. to guide your design.

Waveller Electromagnetics
The first results using Waveller Electromagnetics are available in article Solving Maxwell's Equations Using the Ultra Weak Variational Formulation and in the screenshots-section. The mathematical formulation of Waveller Electomagnetics is extremely useful for solving electromagnetic field related wave problems in many application fields. We are currently seeking collaborators for developing a COMSOL plug-in for Waveller Electromagnetics.

Our development efforts have concentrated on implementing Waveller as a plug-in solver to Femlab. This enables the user to create or import geometries using Femlab's GUI as well as setting material and solver properties, then using Waveller to compute the result, and finally to visualize the result using Femlab's versatile plotting options. More information is available on Femlab plug-in-section.
